Since the great proclamation of the protoevangelium, after the terrible fall of the human race into original sin, God promised to send a Savior, the singular seed and lineage of the woman, to definitively crush the head of the serpent.
Throughout the centuries of the Old Covenant, this figure of the singular woman had various prefigurations in various holy women and various types or offices, such as that of Gebirah, the «Queen Mother» of the Davidic king, from whom the Messiah, the true Lion of Judah, would come.
In the fullness of time, God saw fit to create and reveal this singular woman, the Blessed Virgin Mary, immaculate from her conception, by virtue of the divine motherhood for which she was predestined.
And this great Theotokos, this woman of the apocalypse, with the moon beneath her feet, crowned by the Holy Trinity with twelve stars and clothed with the Sun born from on High, is the Queen Mother of the Universal King and now also reigns at the right hand of her Son, lovingly watching over us, the Church, the Bride of Christ, of whom she is also a spousal figure.
Today, then, we wish to crown her as Queen Mother of our life, soul, heart, of all our property and possessions, of all our merits and virtues, of all our relationships and interactions, and of all our future in this world and in eternal life.
℣. O sublime Theotokos, be today and always our Queen Mother par excellence!
℟. We love you forever. So be it. (3x)
